Who am I? I am a 50 year old woman with the brain of a 25 year old trapped in my skull. I can’t even call myself “middle-aged” because let’s face it, I’m not living to 100 (or anywhere near it). It’s no secret that in the last few years I’ve spent more time in the skin care section of Sephora than pretty much anywhere else. After years of living in Los Angeles (44 that is) and spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking, body surfing, swimming, walking dogs and laying out in the sun, I need all the help I can get. Of course it’s true that being happy on the inside makes you beautiful on the outside so I do have Ken to credit for all that but finding the best skincare never hurts. I’ve spent the time and money trying almost everything so that you don’t have to, here’s the deal. Buy everything from the Sunday Riley line. Well, you probably don’t need everything but Good Genes serum, Luna Oil, Start Over eye cream and the Ceramic Slip cleanser is what I’m doing.
Why just the other day I was attending a fabulous party for a friend turning 50. When I mentioned that I also just turned 50 I was expecting someone in the small group to say, “my god, you don’t look a day over 35!!”. Um, that didn’t happen, I’m sure it was an oversight. Because I’m happy AND my skin was glowing….dammit.
